Aprilia, Honda, Ducati and KTM used the opportunity for a private three – day test in Misano 25 – 27th August. There were Stefan Bradl, Michele Pirro, Dani Pedrosa and Lorenzo Savadori. It’s about collecting data for the upcoming World Championship races.
Four manufacturers use the race-free time to prepare for the upcoming MotoGP races in Misano. For the first time, spectators will be on the track in the season shortened due to the corona pandemic. Taking into account the requirements, 10,000 fans are allowed daily.
Aprilia and KTM have already been tested at the end of June this season, which together with this pre-race test can make a big difference compared to Yamaha [which took 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th position in Misano 2019] and Suzuki.
The big question is, whether Aprilia, KTM, Ducati and Honda can benefit from this test enough to beat Yamaha on this race track.
The Lenovo GP of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera will be held from September 11 to 13, and a week later it will be the turn of the TISSOT GP of Emilia-Romagna and the Rimini Riviera. Ducati, KTM and Aprilia are already taking positions!
